New Design for The Impulse HP

As new techniques utilizing Inertial Exercise have become more refined, athletes have become more powerful using The Impulse. It became apparent that the equipment needed to be more refined and rugged as well. Hence, we have changed several components. The rope is now a much stronger and lighter in weight Amsteel fiber with an incredible low stretch rate. Athletes were generating so much energy that they were actually melting the stainless steel pulley couples. Several of our pulleys have been redesigned to take much higher forces and we challenge athletes to destroy them. However, our most drastic design change has been our sled. In 2004 we further changed the formula for our Amsteel Fiber rope to make it more durable and long lasting. The ropes mass is so low that it actually floats and yet is stronger than high strength steel cable.

The new sled not only has a sleek, high-tech appearance, but it also is much more functional. Since it is machined from a high strength aircraft aluminum alloy, it is much lighter in weight and can sustain the higher forces generated by world-class powerful athletes. It is lightweight and aerodynamic in design, therefore it accelerates much quicker and develops tremendous athletic skill. Taking over a year to design and develop, we are delighted with the results of its performance.
